From TTA Press, the publisher of Interzone, Black Static, and Crimewave, The Fix debuted in 1994 as print magazine Zene with a mission to promote and support small and independent presses and short fiction by disseminating news and reviewing short story magazines and collections. Running for 24 issues, it reinvented itself in 2001 as The Fix and ran for another eight issues until it published its last print issue in 2004.
“Luckily for fans of the short form, a new site, The Fix, has arrived on the scene. Andy Cox, of TTA Press, publisher of Interzone and Black Static, and Eugie Foster have created a site that is visually pleasing and intellectually stimulating…The Fix is one of the most promising new sites of 2007.”
—James Patrick Kelly, “On the Net: Son of Gallimaufry,” Asimov’s, June 2008
In 2007, The Fix relaunched as an online publication. Like its print incarnation, The Fix online provides you with in-depth reviews of short fiction and poetry from the full spectrum of magazines, webzines, anthologies, and single-author collections in the industry. We’ll also bring you interviews, insightful articles and observations, and a range of features and columns that examine short fiction in all its myriad mediums: print, online, audio, and film.
“an awesome review magazine…It’s a good site to keep up with if you’re interested in short fiction”
—The SF Bookswap
