Fábio Fernandes - Fiction Reviewer

Living in São Paulo, Brazil, (Fábio Fernandes) zeroabsoluto (at) gmail (dot) com is a journalist and translator. He translated most of Clive Barker´s books for the Brazilian Portuguese, having also translated Philip K. Dick´s VALIS, The Man in the High Castle, and UBIK, Neal Stephenson´s Snow Crash, and several others.

He teaches Creative Writing and Scriptwriting at a University in Brazil, and he is also currently finishing his doctorate in Semiotics, writing on the post-human in science fiction. His master´s degree had as its subject the work of William Gibson (of whom he translated Neuromancer and Pattern Recognition), and which he turned into a book. He also does reviews for Brazilian professional websites, where he writes in Portuguese; he reviews books and stories in English in his blog, the Pos-Estranho

He writes science fiction and published a short story collection in Portuguese, Interface com o Vampiro (Interface with the Vampire), with about two dozen stories published in Brazilian fanzines and webzines. He just finished his first novel in Portuguese and is now working at his first novel in English.
