Gerald W. Page - Fiction Reviewer

Gerald W. PageGerald W. Page sold his first story to the legendary John W. Campbell in the early sixties. It was “The Happy Man” in the March 1963 Analog and has been translated into Japanese and Italian. It was the first of about half a hundred stories by Page published so far in the SF, fantasy, humor, horror, and mystery fields in publications such as The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Startling Mystery, Mike Shayne Mystery, Magazine of Horror, Weird Tales, Perry Rhodan, Whispers, and Weirdbook.

His editorial career began when, in 1967, he was hired as a consultant editor for Amazing and Fantastic. He was editor of the professional fantasy magazine Witchcraft & Sorcery in the early seventies and did anthologies for Arkham House and DAW Books (including four volumes of The Year’s Best Horror Stories).

These days he’s best known for his work with the Atlanta Radio Theatre Company, both as a performer and writer (ARTC has performed around fifty of his scripts). He was the 1993 winner of the Georgia Fandom Award, and is the only person to have been presented both the Rebel Award for fan achievement and the Phoenix Award for professional accomplishment by DeepSouthCon.
