Originally from Northern Ireland, (Martin McGrath ) martinmcgrath (at) ntlworld (dot) comis a journalist and editor by trade, mostly working on in-house publications for trade unions. He has a doctorate in politics of the new media. In the sf-verse, he is involved in the British Science Fiction Association as head of organisation and editor of Focus, the BSFA’s magazine for writers, and he’s written book reviews for Vector and an awful lot of film reviews for Matrix.

He writes short fiction, with about a dozen stories published in places like Aeon and Fortean Bureau, and he’s run the Interzone readers poll for the last few years.
